1. Description

Turbidity in water is a result of suspended particles that scatter incoming light diffusely, typically measured using scattered light at a 90-degree angle as a test signal. The relationship between scattered light and turbidity follows a multi-stage linear pattern, necessitating multi-point calibration for the sensor. Additionally, changes in the intensity of the light source and temperature can impact the accuracy of measurement results.
Through extensive experimental studies and theoretical calculations, it has been determined that the ratio of scattered light to transmitted light maintains a linear relationship with turbidity. The sensor, therefore, utilizes this ratio instead of simple scattered light to measure turbidity. This approach enhances sensor accuracy, reliability, simplifies maintenance, and boosts pollution resistance.
2. Feature
This is a digital sensor with RS-485 output and MODBUS support. It comes with an automatic cleaning brush to prevent pollution and eliminate air bubbles. It has a strong anti-interference ability, and its design ensures no impact from ambient light and chromaticity. The sensor operates on the principle of 90° scattered light and incorporates advanced fiber technology for improved repeatability.
For wiring, after completion, a careful check is essential to avoid any incorrect connections before powering up. The cable is designed to withstand immersion in water, including seawater, for extended periods, and exposure to the air. It possesses corrosion resistance, with an outer diameter of Φ6 mm, and all interfaces are waterproof.
