The Kacise KS3ARGA1 Series

The Kacise KS3ARGA1 series is a cutting-edge three-axis universal angular rate gyro developed by Kacise . Its primary function is to precisely gauge the angular rate across three axes. This is achieved using MEMS technology chips that are integrated into each axis of the gyro. These chips are known for their remarkable performance, affordability, high reliability, and significant package ruggedness. Adding to the sophisticated design, a Self-Test feature is also included to ensure consistent functionality.

Operating Principle

The functionality of the KS3ARGA1 series gyroscopes is centered around the principle of resonator gyros . The core of this system involves two polysilicon sensitive structures. These structures each boast a high-frequency vibrating frame that operates on electrostatic drive and resonates to provide the necessary velocity measurements. The design is such that the frame's two outer ends form a capacitance-sensitive setup tailored to detect the Coriolis effect caused by the angular rate. This detection prompts the generation of an electrical signal that is then forwarded through an amplifying stage and a modulating stage, concluding with an output that is a precise electrical representation of the angular rate.
