Description
The Turbine Flowmeter is a velocity flowmeter equipped with temperature and pressure compensation capabilities, classifying it within the category of velocity flowmeters. Its operational principle involves the rotation of turbine blades driven by the power of the flowing fluid, with the rotational speed being approximately proportional to the volume flow rate. This flowmeter finds extensive application in sectors such as petroleum, chemical industries, electric power, gas pipe networks, urban gas distribution, and is frequently utilized in trade settlement due to its attributes of high measuring accuracy, reliable repeatability and stability, expansive measurement range, prompt response to flow variations, robust resistance to interference, and seamless signal transmission.
The KTFG series Gas Turbine Meter operates based on gas velocity measurement. The flowing gas undergoes acceleration and conditioning through the meter's straightening section, where straightening vanes remove undesirable swirl, turbulence, and asymmetry to establish a well-defined gas flow profile before reaching the turbine wheel. Dynamic forces from the flowing fluid induce rotation in the turbine rotor, mounted on a main shaft with specialized high precision, low friction ball bearings. The turbine wheel incorporates helical blades at a known angle relative to the gas flow, and the conditioned and accelerated gas imparts angular velocity to the turbine wheel in proportion to the gas velocity.
Widely utilized for measuring natural gas, coal gas, liquefied gas, and light hydrocarbon gas, the KTFG series gas turbine flow meter is adept at delivering accurate and reliable gas flow measurements across various applications.
