The crude oil mass flow meter employs the Coriolis Principle (Coriolis Force) to directly measure the "Mass" of the medium with exceptional accuracy. Unlike traditional flow meters, its precision remains unaffected by factors such as temperature, pressure, density, viscosity, and others.
This eliminates the need for compensation calculations. The Coriolis Mass Flow Meter comprises two main components: the Sensor and the Transmitter. Notably, it is designed and manufactured in compliance with national explosion-proof standards, ensuring safety and reliability in potentially hazardous environments.
Principles of Measurement
The Coriolis Mass Flow Meters consist of a pair of curved tubes in their structure. The operational principle involves detecting the Coriolis force that results from fluid flow forcing the pair of tubes.
The appearance of a new force, the Coriolis force, is contingent upon two conditions being met: firstly, the tubes vibrate at their normal frequency, and secondly, there is a flow of fluid within the tubes. This force emerges as a synthesis of the vibrating force and the flowing force caused by the fluid within the tubes. The force compels the tubes to twist symmetrically around the center line.
Two displacement sensors positioned on the sides of the tubes detect the force and generate electric signals. These signals are then regulated, and the direct output is the mass flow measurement. In essence, the Coriolis Mass Flow Meters operate by leveraging the Coriolis force induced by fluid flow through a pair of vibrating, curved tubes to accurately measure mass flow.
