the Future Development Trend of Electrode Type Conductivity Sensor
1) Multi-electrode and micro-electrode have become one of the development directions of electrode-type conductivity sensors.Due to the existence of electrode polarization, the measurement range and accuracy of the two-electrode conductivity sensor are greatly limited. However, a breakthrough has been made in the measurement range and accuracy of the multi-electrode system conductivity sensor.After years of research and development, the four-electrode structure conductivity sensor has been successfully developed and commercialized.The National Marine Technology Center of China has carried out research and development of seven-electrode conductivity sensors, and has made some achievements in electrode structure design, sintering, packaging and other aspects.
2) the combination of conductivity sensor and microcontroller technology, microsystem technology, the combination of conductivity sensor and microcontroller technology, microsystem technology, to realize the automation of conductivity measurement, so that the adaptability of conductivity measurement and measurement accuracy have been improved.

Development of Electrode Materials
Because the conductivity sensor conductance electrode has certain particularity, so the materials used to make the electrode have certain requirements: 1) good conductivity;2) Because the chemical or electrochemical reaction between the electrode and the medium to be measured will corrode the electrode surface, the electrode is required to have stable chemical characteristics.
The commonly used electrode materials include platinum, stainless steel, copper, silver and so on.Platinum is an excellent electrode material, but the price is higher, in practical application, generally use stainless steel and metal copper as electrode material.
With the development and progress of material science, some new materials, such as conductive ceramics, titanium alloy, etc., have been used to fabricate the electrode of electrical conductivity sensor, and good results have been obtained.
