KUS550 low-power ultrasonic level gauge is a real low-power ultrasonic sensor with low operating current, short settling time and good stability. It is especially suitable for power supply applications, with response time under 1ms transmission time, adapting to short wake-up time requirements.

KUS550 low-power ultrasonic liquid level meter features:

• Sleep state: less than 0.3mA
• Wave state: less than 20mA
• Detection state: less than 5mA

At 3.3V power supply, sleep current is 0.3mA with power consumption of 0.00099W. This series is particularly suitable for smart IoT applications including manholes, factory water tanks, tanks, municipal engineering, tap water, sewage treatment, water conservancy and hydropower, steel, coal mines, electricity, petrochemicals, urban inland rivers and lakes, transportation and food processing industries.

The sensor enables real-time monitoring of liquid level/level height and temperature, updating cloud platform data and issuing real-time alarms, thereby reducing manual inspection costs and accurately monitoring system status.

Work mode set to 2 is low power consumption working mode.

Low power consumption is achieved through:

• Use of low power ICs with inherently low power consumption
• Power control of each circuit section (transmitting circuit, receiving circuit, and MCU basic circuit)
• MCU power consumption management through enabled control of circuit sections
• MCU sleep mode when not working to further reduce power consumption

If the sensor is installed in environments with temperatures below 0℃, appropriate protective measures should be implemented. When directly mounting the sensor in a through hole using steel nuts, it must be fixed at the middle of the housing thread.
