The KUS600 low-power ultrasonic liquid level gauge features an advanced power management system with three circuit components: transmitting circuit, receiving circuit, and microcontroller. The microcontroller optimizes power consumption by controlling circuit activation and entering sleep mode when inactive.

The sensor offers 8 programmable output functions:

1. Window mode normally-open/linear positive slope
2. Window mode normally-closed/linear negative slope
3. Single switching point normally-open
4. Single switching point normally-closed
5. Single switch point with hysteresis gap normally-open
6. Single switch point with hysteresis gap normally-closed
7. Object presence detection - normally open
8. Object presence detection - normally closed

Note: Switching points can only be set within 5 minutes after power on.

The sensor supports two RS485 operation modes:

• Auto measure mode: Continuous measurement with configurable period
• Power save mode: Sleeps until receiving inquiry command

Communication protocol: Modbus RTU (measurement results accessible via register 0x101).
